



Mumbai: Private sector lender Federal Bank announced a net profit at Rs 203.89 crore for the quarter ended December 31. The bank had a net profit of Rs 182.92 crore in the same quarter last FY'08, the Kerala-based bank said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange.
Federal Bank said that "the figures for the corresponding previous periods are not reclassified and therefore not comparable".
The total income of the bank stood at Rs 1,041.23 crore for the quarter under review, while it had a total income of Rs 733.61 crore for the same period a year ago.
For the nine months ended December 31, the bank has posted a net profit of Rs 386.32 crore, however, it had a net profit of Rs 265.19 crore in the same year-ago period. Federal Bank was trading at Rs 152.65, up 7.16 per cent on the BSE.
