Withdrawals after the third cut-off list and fear of more to come led to many top Delhi University colleges, including Shri Ram College of Commerce, keeping admissions open in the fourth list of cut-offs for under-graduate courses, released late on Thursday. Sought-after courses like Economics (Honours) and BCom (Honours) are still up for grabs in many North Campus colleges.

SRCC opened Economics (H) admissions for general category in the fourth list by reducing cut-offs by .25 per cent to 96.25-97.25.

After ten withdrawals, the college is left with 64 students for the course against a sanctioned strength of 62, said admissions convenor Rajeev Kumar.

“The next few days might see 9-10 more withdrawals. Having lowered the cut-off by .25 per cent in the fourth list, we expect more than 25 admissions in this round,” said Kumar.

With SRCC keeping admissions open for Economics (H) in the fourth list, Hindu College is now bracing for withdrawals and have decided to keep Economics Honours open as well. The college has announced a cut-off of 94.25 - 97.75 for the course in general category.

“We expect a few withdrawals and have lowered cut-offs accordingly. Since SRCC has kept admissions open, there will be horizontal withdrawals, both from Hindu and to Hindu from other colleges,” said Dr Pradyumn Kumar, acting Principal of Hindu College.

At Ramjas, Economics ( 92.75-95.75) and BCom Honours (95.5 - 97.5) are still open. At Miranda House, Economics Honours will be open with a cut-off of 95- 96.25.

Bracing for withdrawals, Hansraj College too has kept its admissions open in the fourth list for Economics (H) and B Com (H). From 96.25 - 98.25 per cent in the first three lists, the cut-off for B Com (H) in the college has been reduced by .25 percent (96-98) in the fourth list. Economics (H) is also open at the college with cut-offs between 95.25 and 96.25.

Though it opened admissions to BCom (Honours) only in the second list by bringing cut-offs down to a realistic level, Kirori Mal College had closed admissions to all courses except Statistics Honours and BSc Life Sciences when the fourth list came. Lady Shri Ram has also closed admissions to almost all courses. Electronics (Honours), MSc Earth Sciences and Sanskrit are also open at Hansraj in the fourth list.

Among Science courses, Chemistry (H) is open only at Sri Venkateswara with the cut-off at 90 per
