Ex-SEBI executive director joins Globsyn B-school

New Delhi: Globsyn Business School has announced the appointment Mr. Pratip Kar, former SEBI executive director, as member of its governing council. Mr Kar will Chair Globsyn Centre for Corporate Governance & Ethics, and also be Advisor-Asian Institute of Family business, the new initiative of Globsyn.

Mr Pratip Kar left SEBI in 2006 as Executive Director, a position he held for nearly 14 years. He has since been associated with IFC Global Corporate Governance Forum and World Bank as Consultant.

He has also served as Dean of Finance and Corporate Governance at the Tata Management Training Centre (TMTC), Pune, where he was instrumental in refining many B schools brains across the world.

Speaking on the appointment, Mr. Bikram Dasgupta, Chairman, Globsyn Group, said, “I feel delighted to welcome Mr. Pratip Kar in the Globsyn Business School family. The students will surely benefit from his rich experience and knowledge.”

Speaking about his new job, Mr Pratip Kar said, “I have a special interest in the field of academics as I get to work with young and bright minds of the country. At the time when economy is doing so well and Indian professionals are heading prominent organizations across the world I feel happy to be associated with an Institute like Globsyn Business School.”
