The interest being paid on EPF is very low.The government must consider hiking interst rate in tune with interst rates on bank fixed deposits.Banks now pay 10 to 10.50 percent on public deposits for 400days.I garee with FM that EPFO may invest a small portion of its funds in market .This is ideal time to invest in market as share prices have declined considerably.EPFO must also diversify its investments in order to earn more.
