The empowered group of ministers (EGoM) on telecom is scheduled to meet on Friday to discuss a roadmap for spectrum that remained unsold in the recent auction.
The meeting, to be chaired by finance minister P Chidambaram, was to discuss the way ahead for the auction of unsold GSM spectrum in Delhi, Mumbai, Rajasthan and Karnataka. It has been deferred twice last week. The panel will also decide on what to do with the CDMA spectrum that had no takers and whether to conduct auctions for spectrum in the 1,800 Mhz and 900 Mhz bands.
