Whose wheels are bigger?

The battle among luxury carmakers is spilling over to the size of their flagship stores in the country and, curiously, Mathura Road in Delhi is turning out to be the venue. Four years after BMW opened its largest showroom in 2007, its arch-rival Audi thought what better than poaching BMW’s prospective clients and soon set up its biggest shop next door. The move seemed to have triggered a chain reaction of sorts, as BMW decided to open an ever-more towering dealership a few miles ahead. Meanwhile, probably feeling left out, Mercedes-Benz decided to wake up and be noticed. The word is that Mercedes-Benz will be inaugurating a store much larger than those of its peers this month. Wonder if it’s Audi’s turn now to make the next announcement!
