In another quarter final clash, Lilavati Potdar boys beat St Xavier's 5-4 on penalties after a goalless draw in normal time.

Results: St Andrew’s, Bandra 5 (Azfar Noorani 2, Nilesh Madane, Akram Khan, Owais Khania) bt Fatima High School 0; Don Bosco HS - Matunga 3 (Marc D’Souza 3) bt St Stanislaus School 1 (Rayn D’Souza); Lilavati Potdar boys bt St Xavier's 5-4 on penalties.

Miners held

Miners FC and Kentourians SC shared the spoils as they were engaged in a 1-1 draw in their third Division encounter of the MDFA League, at the St Xavier’s ground, Parel on Tuesday evening. Sushant Pite was on target for Miners while Mihir Gala scored for Kentourians.

In another match of the same division, Anand Bal Mitra Madal got the better of FBGFCM by a narrow 1-0 margin. Pritesh Mahale netted the lone winning goal.

Results: Anand Bal Mitra Mandal 1 (Pritesh Mahale) bt FBGFCM 0; Miners FC 1 (Sushant Pite) drew with Kentourians SC 1 (Mihir Gala).

AIFF colts win easy

Navi Mumbai based AIFF’s Regional Football Academy U-16 outfit outplayed Air India’s U-19 team 8-0 in a friendly tie, at Fr Agnel Multipurpose Sports Complex, Vashi on Saturday. AIFF’s striker Milan Basumatary was on top form and led his team to a 7-0 lead at half time, contributing with five goals. Rakesh Oram scored the eighth goal.
