Taking potshots at the Rashtriya Swayamsewak Sangh (RSS) and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) over the ongoing war of words over Sushil Kumar Shinde's 'saffron terror' remark, Congress general secretary Digvijay Singh on Monday said there is foolproof evidence in support of the allegation levelled by the Union Home Minister.

A gloating Digvijay said, "For years the media and political parties called me mad when I said RSS linked to terror, today I am very happy that this has been officially stated by the Home Minister himself".

“Home Minister has said the same things, whatever I was saying for the past eleven years. There are some people in the RSS who are providing training for terrorist activities, and are themselves involved in such activities. He said this because he has evidence. The fact has been proved, investigation is going on, and some people have been arrested in the matter,” said Singh.

Terrorists happy with Shinde: RSS

Shinde sees terror in BJP, RSS

Reacting to RSS spokesperson Ram Madhav latest remark in response to Shinde’s comments that terrorist groups like the ‘Lashkar-e-Taiba and the Jamaat-ud-Dawa should have congratulated Shinde for his comments’, Singh said that RSS must clarify whether people, including slain Sunil Joshi, Ramjee Kalangsara, Sandeep Dange, Lokesh Sharma are associated with them or not.

Citing that the RSS and BJP have an inseparable association in this regard, Singh also sought clarification as to why senior BJP leader L K Advani and Sushma Swaraj have met the Prime Minister, Manmohan Singh, and requested that he favour Sadhvi Pragya Thakur and Colonel Purohit, when they were arrested?

“There is substantial proof that the Sangh (RSS) has organised the training camps for providing training to plant bombs,” he added.

Singh, even on earlier occasions, has raised his voice against the RSS, the ideological patron of the BJP, for their alleged involvement in the Mecca Masjid and Samjhauta Express blasts.

On Sunday, Shinde alleged that the training camps run by the RSS and BJP were promoting ‘Hindu terror’. He also alleged that the RSS and the BJP were behind the Samjhauta Express, Meccca Masjid and Malegaon blasts.

Later, defending himself, Shinde said that he didn't say anything new and only spoke about saffron terrorism, which has already been talked about many a times in newspapers.

Sushil Kumar Shinde has lost mental balance: BJP

Jammu: Lashing out at Sushil Kumar Shinde for his controversial remarks during the Congress summit in Jaipur, the BJP today said it seems the Home Minister has lost his mental balance.

"Shinde seems to have lost his mental balance, otherwise he would not have been making such irresponsible statements," said BJP state president Jugal Kishore Sharma.

The party takes strong exception to Shinde's remarks on a nationalist party like BJP and a "thoroughly patriotic social organisation" like RSS, Sharma said, accusing the Congress of playing divisive tactics.

He said both Shinde and his party should concentrate more on issues like corruption and price rise which are concerned to common man, instead of making "unproven allegations" against BJP.

Shinde had yesterday stoked a controversy by accusing BJP and RSS of conducting terror training camps and promoting "Hindu terrorism", setting off an angry reaction from the saffron parties which demanded an apology from Sonia Gandhi.

shinde's terror

Azadii | 23-Jan-2013Reply | Forward
Every Indian knows that there is no terrorist in RSS and BJP. RSS, if trained people that is for their self-defence. The major proof of their not involved in terror is that shinde is still alive and a burden on Indian soil. Had anyone from RSS and BJP been involved in terror, all upa notorious leaders would have been sent to hell. All Indians are sure about their loyalty.

vote bank politics: dangerous portents

C Prakash | 23-Jan-2013Reply | Forward
Political parties using blatant Hindu bashing as a weapon in the name of secularism, to pander to the minorities, for vote bank politics, is a cause for serious concern. The facts and truth have been completely ignored and twisted to justify such unwarranted propaganda. The latest attack on Hindus by congress's Shindes, Mani Shankar Aiyers, Digvijay Singhs, along with regional party leaders such as Owasis, Mulayams, Laloos, Nitish's etc are by themselves enough to cause break up of Indian state and Pakistan does not require Kayanis, ISI, Hafeez Saeeds, Afzal Gurus, Kasabs, hurriyat leaders etc to do the job for them. Several pseudo intellectuals and self proclaimed opinion makers (mistakenly called journalist) who are in fact nothing more than paid stooges of the congress are working overtime to create as incorrect a picture as possible to ruin the unity and peace in the country and once again reduce India to religious blood bath and partition. God Save us from these "Jai chands"
