Dhania, kalaunji prices decline on subdued demand

In thin trading, prices of dhania and kalaunji declined by Rs 200 per quintal in the national capital today on subdued demand from retailers and stockists amid adequate stocks.

Dhania and kalaunji prices declined by Rs 200 each to conclude at Rs 7,000-9,000 and Rs 7,200-8,200 per quintal, respectively.

Marketmen said subdued demand from retailers and stockists amid adequate stocks, mainly pulled down dhania and kalaunji prices on the wholesale kirana market here. The following are today's quotations:

Ajwain 10,000-15,000, black pepper (per kg) 425-560, betel-nut (kg) 180-200, cardamom brown-Jhundiwali (kg) 800-900 and cardamom brown-Kanchicut (kg) 950-1,050.

Cardamom small (kg): Chitridar 760-900, cardamom (colour robin) 750-890, cardamom bold 750-850, cardamom extra (bold) 950-1,080 and cloves (kg) 620-700.
