American PC maker Dell has built quite a reputation for delivering solid monitors at reasonable prices. The Dell Professional S2440L is a stunning LCD monitor with full high definition TV experience. Its flat panel display has an active matrix, thin-film transistor (TFT), liquid crystal display (LCD) and LED backlight. It is an edge to edge LCD monitor and is the only one in the S series of monitors without an IPS panel. This explains the rather high price of R14,000. It is very slim, measuring just 16 x 22 x 7 inches and stands on a metal bezel that allows it to be tilted extensively up to 21-inches backward and 4-inches forward.
