Delhi gangrape: When Sonia came out to meet protesters, sit on street

Around 0015 hrs, on Sunday morning, Special Protection Group (SPG) went into a tizzy, as UPA Chairperson Sonia Gandhi emerged from steel gates of 10 Janpath, to meet protesters, who were shouting slogans outside 10 Janpath, in order to seek justice for Delhi's rape victim. And to everyone's surprise, she came out and sat on the road, where young students had plonked themselves, and engaged with them.

These protesters, who were holding candles, started from India Gate, and on reaching 10 Janpath, started shouting slogans. This reporter was present, when within split seconds, Sonia appeared from her house and mingled with protesters for about 15-20 minutes.

The traffic was diverted and road outside 10 Janpath, converted into a war room, and for a change, commoners received full attention, from the most powerful person.

And now the engagement part, Sonia Gandhi and about 4-5 girls, discussed demands and solutions, in full public view, which was watched live by around 200 protesters, including onlookers.

Also in attendance were at least 10 police gypsies and anxious SPG, Police personnel, awaiting further orders. The SPG again appeared helpless, even as some girls reprimanded them for pushing them around. Sonia then directed her security to maintain some distance.

And one of the students remarked, "Madam, aap ke paas security hai , hum ghar kaisey jayengey, hamen kon security dega".

Give us strong law, hang them, give us justice, and it went on, which Sonia heard patiently...but had no answers, even as she struggled for words, "I can't commit any thing, we will

Cheap gimmicks will not help

The whole idea is to present Sonia as the saviour of masses mainly women folk(for eg:commoners received full attention from the most powerful person).But everyone knows she is in India to rule and her heart lies in Italy. She has proved that if an Indian gets affected, she will do nothing, but when it comes to Italians, she will go out of the way to help them. Look at the way in which her government helped in freeing the Italian navy men lodged in Kerala jail for killing two poor local fishermen.Earlier people could be fooled with such cheap tricks like sitting on the floor with protesters (and that too under thick security blanket), but now the country has woken up.Remember, during UP polls, her baby Rahul had done all such gimmicks (like eating lunch in a Dalit's hut on a mat and drinking water from their cup)are not enough.But the intelligent UP voters didn%u2019t buy the %u2018nautanki%u2019 by Rahul and showed him the him the door. Same is the case with his mother and the landgrabber bro-in-law.

HM and other politicians says that as father of female child we understand the agony of the female protesters about of safety of females against hooligans and antisocials. Do the HM daughters move at late hours with out any security cover and is there any necessasity for these daughters of politicians, police jeeps and chufer cars with private security is at their diposal. Their daughters move safely and securely. I understand that the politicians are agaist giving stringent punishement to the acused because some politicians wards/kith and kin are also involved in some of the molestation cases. These politicians want to protect their interests by postponing the issues. If stringent action is taken scores of politicians will go to jails.

If one is excused for wearing Digvijay Singh's pagree, it appears that the entire mahoul after the unfortunate rape incident in Delhi has been post-hatched by the Hand-Congress. Muni sAnkar, Digvijay Singh, Ahmed Miyan, Kapil Sibbal and Maharshee Markandeya are behind all these orchestrated protests in order to revive the sagging fortunes of Antonia Maino-Gandhi and prince Rahul Vinci-Gandhi Otherwise how could one explain the apathy so far shown by the %u2018mango-man%u2019, from Aasindhu-SINDHU-paryantaa mother land? The statistics of the rape incidents quoted below from the Periscope column appearing in the 23rd December issue of the ORGANISER weekly, are alarming. One wonders though; as to what makes the Delhi incident so special? {Part 1}
