SummarySpecial public prosecutor filed 28 injury certificates issued by doctors in Ruby Hall Clinic, Jehangir hospital and KEM hospital.

Refusing to admit 28 injury certificates filed by the prosecution in the German Bakery blast case on Tuesday, the Defence told the court of additional sessions judge N P Dhote that they had been intimated by the prosecution about only six injury certificates, five issued by doctors of Ruby Hall Clinic and one by Jehangir Hospital.

A Rehman and Kaynat Ali Shaikh are the defence lawyers in the case.

On Tuesday, the special public prosecutor filed 28 injury certificates issued by doctors in Ruby Hall Clinic, Jehangir hospital and KEM hospital.

"Filing 28 such certificates has come as a shock to the defence and we will have to go through these before admitting them as evidence,Ē Rehman said.

The 28 certificates are those issued by doctors of Ruby Hall Clinic, Jehangir Hospital and KEM hospital.

If the defence admits the injury certificates, it would mean that the injured persons need not be called to depose in the court, thus saving the time of trial.

The defence lawyers also pointed out that the injury certificates were not accompanied by affidavits of the injured persons describing their injuries. The court has directed the defence to scrutinise these certificates and reply whether they would admit them or not on March 20.
