DDA to focus on housing for the poor
Express news service :New Delhi, Dec 03 2012, 01:57 IST
new houses will come up in five new zones called urban extensions, created in fringe areas under the Master Plan. These are near Najafgarh in Southwest Delhi; Chhattarpur in South; Kanjhawala beyond Rohini in Northwest; near Nangloi and to the east of Narela along the Yamuna in North. But work on these urban extensions has been put on hold as the DDA is looking at land pooling instead of acquisition for the city’s growth.
