British Prime Minister David Cameron was Tuesday facing claims of cronyism after it emerged that his hairdresser was among those named in Queen Elizabethís New Yearís Honours List for 2014.
Celebrity stylist Lino Carbosiero was appointed an MBE (Member of the British Empire) for ďservices to hairdressingĒ in the latest list announced on New Yearís Eve, based on recommendations from an Honours Committee.
Carbosiero dismissed claims of bias, saying it was a recognition of his campaign to regulate the industry. The British media, however, was rife with speculation as the ĎDaily Mirrorí claimed he was rewarded for covering up Cameronís allegedly thinning hair by switching his side parting from left to right a few years ago.
Carbosiero brushed off the idea that he had intentionally changed the Prime Ministerís hairstyle, admitting that switching his side-parting was more likely down to him forgetting Cameronís original style.
