Agencies: New Delhi, Nov 30 2012, 13:15 IST
Amid a weak trend overseas, crude oil futures declined by 0.58 per cent to Rs 4,811 per barrel today as participants reduced their positions.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, crude oil for delivery in December shed Rs 28, or 0.58 per cent, to Rs 4,811 per barrel, with a business volume of 5,632 lots.
Similarly, the oil for January delivery moved down by Rs 26, or 0.53 per cent, to Rs 4,862 per barrel, with a turnover of 619 lots.
Marketmen said the fall in crude oil futures prices was in line with a weakening trend in Asia as investors took profit from a rise in New York.
Meanwhile, crude oil for delivery in January was down 31 cents to USD 87.76 a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange.
