Crude oil futures down on global cues
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, crude oil for delivery in January shed Rs 21, or 0.43 per cent, to Rs 4,902 per barrel, with a business volume of 4,634 lots.
Similarly, the oil for February delivery moved down by Rs 19, or 0.38 per cent, to Rs 4,957 per barrel, with a turnover of 353 lots.
Marketmen said the fall in crude oil futures prices was mostly in line with a weakening trend in Asia on US fiscal cliff worries.
Meanwhile, crude oil for delivery in November was down 16 cents to USD 88.50 a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange.
