Cricket betting drives man to shoot self

A 38-year-old clothes merchant shot himself dead after he allegedly lost money in cricket betting, police said today.
"Rohit Jayantilal Shah shot himself with his revolver at around 10 PM near a shop at Malhar Square. Preliminary investigations have revealed that he was depressed as he incurred heavy loss in cricket betting", said police sub-inspector G M Patil.
Naupada police have registered a case of accidental death and sent Shah's body for postmortem.
