CP Gurnani named MD at Tech Mahindra

Tech Mahindra, part of the $15.4-billion Mahindra Group, has appointed CP Gurnani as its managing director. Gurnani played a pivotal role in the three-year transformational journey of Mahindra Satyam and is spearheading the eventual merger with Tech Mahindra.
“Gurnani’s journey as the turnaround CEO is now complete and I congratulate him as he takes on this additional critical responsibility,” Mahindra Group chairman Anand Mahindra said in a statement on Monday.
The decision was taken at the board meeting which was held in Mumbai on August 10, the statement added. “Tech Mahindra has been instrumental in shaping my career and the opportunity at Mahindra Satyam helped me build on that foundation,” Gurnani said.
Earlier, he headed Tech Mahindra’s global operations, sales and marketing functions, and led the development of the company’s competency and solution units.
