DDA engineer surrenders in graft case

DDA engineer Kapil Deo, accused and absconding in a graft case involving former Micromax CEO Rajesh Agarwal, surrendered in a city court on Tuesday, after which the court sent him to police custody for seven days. While surrendering in court, Kapil Deo mentioned his upcoming marriage as the reason for his absence. He also stated that he had sent a fax to the CBI on August 28, offering his participation in the investigation. CBI argued before the court that Deo had “deliberately avoided joining investigation”.
