Fertiliser major Coromandel International today reported a steep fall of 83 per cent in consolidated net profit to Rs 11.67 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2013.

The complex fertiliser producer had reported a net profit of Rs 66.89 crore in the year-ago period, it said in a filing to the BSE.

Consolidated net sales of Coromandel also witnessed a decline of 24 per cent to Rs 2,065.97 crore in the fourth quarter of 2012-13 fiscal against Rs 2,735.91 crore in the same quarter of 2011-12 fiscal.

For the entire 2012-13 financial year, the consolidated net profit of the Secundarabad-based company were down by 32 per cent to Rs 431.99 crore against Rs 638.79 crore in 2011-12 fiscal.
