Mumbai: Police detained two persons after a bomb hoax call was made, allegedly from their PCO in Raigad. The caller had said a bomb was planted at Mumbai Central station. Mumbai: The body of a 24-year-old unemployed man, who had gone missing two days earlier, was found at a BMC plot in Andheri East. The deceased, Gurunath Sawant, was a resident of Sangharsh Nagar. “His face had been bludgeoned. His right wrist was missing and there are stab injuries on the body,” said an officer.

Teen dies in bike accident

Mumbai: An 18-year-old died while his friend suffered injuries after the bike they were riding hit a car on L J Road on Tuesday. Police said that the bike belonged to Nitesh Mahadev Shirke. “Sandeep Gore asked Shirke for a ride. Kundan Halde, 18, was riding pillion. Gore took a U-turn and the bike hit a car near Axis bank,” said J R Nikhalje, sub-inspector. Halde succumbed during treatment.
