Joint Commissioner of Police (Traffic) Satyendra Garg said the route of the parade rehearsal would be from Vijay Chowk, Rajpat, to the C-Hexagon at India Gate. In order to facilitate the smooth movement of the parade, restrictions will be imposed on the flow of traffic on Rafi Marg, Janpath and Mansingh Road.

Buses going to the Central Secretariat will be stopped at Vishwa Yuvak Kendra,Tyagraj Marg, Krishna Menon Marg, Maulana Azad Road and Dr Zakir Hussain Marg. Buses going to New Delhi railway station will take Sardar Patel Marg-Simon Bolivar Marg-Upper Ridge Road-Park Street-Mandir Marg route.

“Congestion can be expected on these roads. Motorists are requested to have patience, observe traffic and road discipline and follow directions of traffic police personnel deployed at all intersections. People are requested to plan their journey to avoid inconvenience,” Garg said.

For those coming to Connaught Place from South Delhi, the suggested route is Mother Teresa Crescent to Park Street towards Mandir Marg and Baba Kharak Singh Marg.
