The Delhi government on Wednesday gave financial clearance for widening of the Mehrauli-Mahipalpur Road from Andheria More to Masoodpur. This road is expected to provide an alternative route to Delhi airport and Gurgaon.

The third phase of this project will involve creating a Mahipalpur bypass. “This bypass from Ryan International School to NH-8 near Shiv Murti will connect with the Dwarka Road,” the official said. A feasibility study for this phase will also be carried out.

A total of 31 projects worth Rs 584 crore, the majority of which are related to improving the road infrastructure, were cleared by the expenditure finance committee (EFC)
