Q 1. Did you watch any thrillers or read any book to get into the mood to shoot for Murder 3?
Acting in a thriller was not different from acting in any other genre, at least playing my character Roshini. As her name suggests, she is little Miss Sunshine who likes to spread happiness around. The character is very similar to what I am— a free-spirited, happy girl who is ready to do anything for her friends and for love!
Q 2. What is the perfect recipe for making a gripping thriller?
After shooting and knowing exactly what the film is about, if an actor’s heartbeat can race and he can still be startled while watching it on screen, the director has succeeded in making an engaging thriller. That’s what happened to me when I watched Murder 3. I could feel my pulse racing and my heart was in my mouth.
Q 3. What is the mainstay of the film?
Generally thrillers sell on erotica and titillation, but Murder 3 is erotic only in parts, because of the romance between Randeep and me. Its mainstay is the emotional connect the audience will have with me, as it is a girl’s dramatic life story narrated through me.
