SummaryRed chilli prices rose by Rs 100 to settle at Rs 6,800-11,900 per quintal.

Red chilli and jeera prices recovered by Rs 100 per quintal in the national capital today largely on the back of a pick-up in demand from local parties as well as overseas enquiries.

Red chilli prices rose by Rs 100 to settle at Rs 6,800-11,900 per quintal. Jeera common and jeera best quality also traded higher by Rs 100 each to conclude at Rs 14,400-14,600 and Rs 17,400-18,000 per quintal, respectively.

Traders said buying support from retailers and exporters against fall in supplies from producing belts mainly pushed up chilli and jeera prices on the wholesale kirana market here.
