: According to a report in the Los Angeles Times, a study by market research company Nielsen has found that children watch television for more than 32 hours a week on average. Youngsters aren’t “giving up any media -- they’re just picking up more,” says the report. The notion that children spend more than an entire day per week watching television is alarming for the advocates of children’s health and welfare.
