Chidambaram slams Mayawati over statues

Manamadurai, TN: Slamming Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mayawati for spending Rs 1,000 crore to install her own statues, Union Home Minister P Chidambaram has said the amount could have been used to provide basic amenities to the people and wipe out poverty. "Of what use will be the statues in that state. The Rs 1000 crore will help wipe out poverty of thousands of people, provide basic amenities and education," he said, addressing a meeting to thank voters of his constituency Sivaganga last night.
Pointing out that people all over the country had rejected caste politics, he said this was especially true in Bihar, Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh, "where 20 years of caste domination has gone". "People like Mulayam Singh Yadav who were practicing caste politics were rejected, though he was my friend. People there thought beyond caste politics and elected Congress, which is above caste politics and works for the people." Voicing concern over role of "casteism" in elections in parts of Sivaganga, he told people to go by government's achievements, not by considerations like caste.
He said caste based parties had been dealt a 'death blow' in Tamil Nadu. "Though I regret the alliance with caste based PMK earlier, the party faced a rout in the recent elections." "If the Congress Government did not achieve anything then you hit it with a Semmatti (hammer) during the poll. You debate on what we have achieved and then vote," he said.

Now, now Mr C, what is all this uproar about, eh? You Congressis want the statues, memorials, port naming, road naming (and now Worli-Bandra bridge naming, too, bloody hell)only after the Nehru -Gandhi clan? What do you think you and your predecessors have been doing so far. Your annoyance is a big farce. You are very good at it, I fully agree. Have you no care for the other great sons and daughters of this country, by far much greater than your over-blown balloon like figures? Mayawati may be at one end but you have already been at the other for well over a good many decades, what of it? Have the both of you no shame or self respect? C'mon, be reasonable. Sivaganga(LS constituency)in Tamil Nadu was graced by P.C. Chidambaram on 29.6.2009 because he won from there NOT BY VOTES but by courtesy of EVM machine of Congress sympathizer CEC Navin Chawla.The same machine had declared Chidambaram as defeated after counting under supervision of the same Congress sympathizer Chief Election Commissioner Chawla.WE NEED NOT REPOSE TOTAL FAITH IN SUCH EVM MACHINES.BUT THIS IS FOR THE PRESIDENT TO DECIDE AS CHAWLA HAS BEEN APPOINTED BY PRESIDENT IN THE THICK OF LS ELECTIONS ON 24.4.2009 WHEN CEC GOPALASWAMY RETIRED AFTER HAVING SUBMITTED 90 PAGE LETTER TO PRESIDENT RECOMMENDING DISMISSAL OF CHAWLA BECAUSE HE HAD FAVORED CONGRESS ON NUMEROUS OCCASIONS.In India such serious lapses are not taken note of because of weak election laws.ONLY VOTERS WILL DECIDE THE FATE OF SUCH PERSONS IN THE NEXT LOK SABHA ELECTIONS DUE IN 2013.Till then we continue to suffer such accusations in the comity of nations for which CONGRESS IS NOT AT ALL BOTHERED. Why Chidambaram is lamenting now? Wasn't he aware of this insane project by this lunatic Mayawati? Or is the intelligence of the country too weak? This shows any ruling alliance in Delhi also must monitor the expenditure of the states from time to time, may be once in a month to make sure that Mayawati like lunatics do not meddle around with public funds. Now it is also difficult for any one to break the statues. This reminds us of our hairsylist karunanidhi's action in 1967/68 when several statues were created and installed along the beach. Now the same karunanidhi is in UPA. Let Chidambaram kick DMK Pvt Ltd out of UPA now and not regret later! But at best all statues can be removed and make the place free. removed statues can be put in museums (of those dead) and in zoos (those living) !!!! But Chidambaram need guts!

The blatant action of Mayawati, the Chief Minister, Grabing land and misusing public maoney need outrightly condemned and warrant legal action.She should not get away with such misdeeds. Its high time now such leaders should be aken to task. Public should also keep such nefarious activities in mind and not return such leaders to power for its misuse again and again.

Maya wati is a new Saddam Hussain in the making. Citizens of UP deserves her. She is the one who is going to take them out of poverty by bringing in employment in stone carving industry so that UP can be back in STONE AGE. I Agree with Mr.Arun Kumar. Why Nehru Dynasty still in Politics? They have tasted the essence of public Money from the time of independence. Their Primary Job is to mint money.Infact Mayawati openly spent 1000 cores(as mention by Mr.Chidambaram) for Statues. But these UPA Govt at the centre swallow public money without coming to light. That is the reason why mr.Chidambaram is jumping. Can we have statistics of money minted by UPA for Nuclear Deal? These informations will not come outside. How Mr.Chidambaram won the election after declaring that he lost the seat? We have been talking many times, till these old buddas are retired from Politics, India never develops. Why Only Central and State govt employees should retire? Why not Politics? Are Politicians are God?
