Chandigarh Travel Expo opens from Feb 2
India Travel Mart has partnered with Chandigarh Industrial and Tourisms Corporation to host what is touted as the biggest travel and tourism exhibition from February 2 to 4.
While CITCO is the main supporting partner, Gujarat and Rajasthan are the partner states and Uttarakhand and Goa as the co-partner states. Himachal Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh are the Feature States.
Ajay Gupta, Managing Director of Indian Travel Mart told media persons here today that Malaysia and Dubai are the partner countries for this mega exhibition. International Tourism Boards, State Tourism Departments from Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh and Andhra Pradesh will set up kiosks the exhibition to woo tourists. The Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation, leading hotels, resorts, palaces, travel agencies, tour operators and many more from different parts of the country and abroad will provide information about their destinations, attractive holiday, travel, tour packages and other related services.
Gupta informed about the importance of promoting tourism in the tier II cities and observed that the inflow of domestic and outbound tourists from north will increase in coming months. He said that Chandigarh and Punjab will play a vital role in promotion of tourism. He said that the exhibition would be a perfect platform to choose from a variety of attractive packages and deals all under one roof. The main highlights would be pilgrimage tourism, adventure tourism, eco tourism, health tourism and wildlife tourism.
