Chana prices fell by Rs 57 to Rs 4,659 per quintal in futures trade today following increased supplies from producing regions in the spot market against subdued demand.

At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, chana for delivery in November fell by Rs 57, or 1.21 per cent, to Rs 4,659 per quintal with an open interest of 32,710 lots.

The commodity for delivery in the December contract also moved down by Rs 38, or 0.87 per cent, to Rs 4,353 per quintal in 68,860 lots.

Market analysts said increased supplies in the spot market against subdued demand mainly kept pressure on chana futures.
