Cashew prices rose by Rs 5 per kghere today, largely on the back of fresh buying by retailers and stockists amid low stocks.

Tight supplies from growing regions also supported the upside in prices.

Cashew kernel No 180, No 210, No 240 and No 320 rose by Rs 5 each to conclude at at Rs 700-760, Rs 680-700 Rs 600-620 and Rs 520-570 per kg, respectively.

Marketmen said increased buying by retailers and stockists against tight supplies from growing regions, mainly pushed up cashew prices to rise.
