Cardamom futures extend losses on on higher supply

Continuing its slide for the sixth trade session, cardamom prices fell by another Rs 30.70 to Rs 1,040 per kg in futures trade today due to adequate stocks availability in the physical market on account of higher supplies from the producing belts.
Marketmen said trading sentiment weakened as the traders engaged in reducing their positions at prevailing levels amid adequate stocks on higher supplies.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, cardamom prices for February contract fell by Rs 30.70, or 2.86 per cent, to Rs 1,040 per kg, with a business turnover of 295 lots.
The spice for delivery in January declined by Rs 27, or 2.64 per cent, to Rs 995.50 per kg, with a trading volume of 1,534 lots.
