TiE (The Indus Entrepreneurs) has announced that TES 2013 (TiE Entrepreneurial Summit), the annual conference of the entrepreneurial ecosystem, will be held from December 18-20 at HICC Hyderabad. Launched in 2006, this is the 7th TES conference. The theme for TES 2013 is “Yes, You Can! Dream-Think-Achieve”. The theme was launched by Srini Raju, chair, TES 2013, and MD, Peepul Capital. TES brings together venture capitalists, entrepreneurs, policymakers, thought leaders and other stakeholders, and acts as a catalyst to fast track ideas into action.
XLRI hosts JRD Ethics Oration on biz ethics
XLRI held its 22nd Annual JRD Tata Oration on Business Ethics recently. MM Pallam Raju, the HRD minister, delivered the oration whose theme was “Ethical Challenges for India Today”. The minister delved upon three different facets that are linked to ethics in India—education, business and politics. He said, “Higher education must pay more attention to helping students understand how to lead ethical, reflective, fulfilling lives.”
ICAI’s corporate forum kick-starts with jury meet
The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) recently held a jury meet for the 7th ICAI Awards to choose the best chartered accountants working in the industry. The meet was chaired by Deepak S Parekh, chairman, HDFC Ltd (jury chairman). On January 11, 2014, the 7th ICAI Awards 2013 will be organised, where chartered accountants will be honoured.
Goa CM inaugurates IIMK Leadership Clinic
The Indian Institute of Management Kozhikode (IIMK) recently conducted a day-long workshop on ‘Leadership Clinic’ in Goa, where Manohar Parrikar, the chief minister of Goa, underlined the relevance of the workshop for the state of Goa, the country and the world at large.
