Stanford Ignite returns to Bangalore in April 2014

On the heels of the successful completion of the first 9-week certificate programme in innovation and entrepreneurship outside its California campus, Stanford Graduate School of Business is now accepting applications for Stanford Ignite-Bangalore 2014. Classes will meet on extended weekends from April 4 through June 8, 2014. The deadline for applications is November 22, 2013. “Just a few weeks ago, we presented certificates of completion to an incredibly talented cohort of 41 smart and energetic working professionals in such fields as medicine, law, engineering, and robotics,” said Yossi Feinberg, John G McCoy, Banc One Professor of Economics and faculty director of Stanford Ignite. “These individuals embody the intent of the Stanford Ignite program to drive economic growth through entrepreneurship by teaching innovators, both entrepreneurs and ‘entrepreneur’s,’ the business skills to bring their ideas to market. They’ve set a high bar for the next batch of participants.”

HBS to help develop intellectual capital

Harvard Business School (HBS) will host an executive education programme called “Maximising Your Leadership Potential—India” from December 4-7 at the HBS style classroom at Taj Lands’ End, Mumbai. This new programme aims to provide organisations the opportunity to invest in one of their most valuable resources – their talent. The programme is designed to allow participants to explore critical management challenges while gaining insight into their leadership style and approach. “The constantly changing and increasingly complex nature of competition between global and local firms requires leaders who can build organisations with the capabilities to both execute and innovate. Maximising Your Leadership Potential will help individuals enhance these capabilities by focusing on the three imperatives of leadership – managing yourself, managing your network, and managing your teams,” said Linda A Hill, the Wallace Brett Donham Professor of Business Administration and the faculty chair of Maximising Your Leadership Potential—India.
