: I have heard that one should never buy a Laughing Buddha and that it should always be gifted. Is that true? Also, I want to know where should I place the Laughing Buddha in my house.

It is a myth only in India that a Laughing Buddha should be gifted and not purchased. I have invested in a huge Buddha for my house. The Laughing Buddha should be placed right opposite your main door in the living room, so that the Buddha is the first thing a person sees as he enters a house.

Some wind chimes come with five rods, while some others come with seven rods. What is the significance of each?
