The foundation stone of the 10-storey building INSTACON to be constructed in 48 hours will be laid on November 29 at Industrial Area, Phase I of SAS Nagar by Deputy Chief Minister, Punjab, Sukhbir Singh Badal.

While referring to the salient features of the 10 storey building, the brain behind the project, Harpal Singh, maintained that this is the first building of its kind in the country.

All the components were manufactured in the factory, pre-fitted with floors, water supply, wiring, sanitation, air conditioning ducts and everything else. These are then shifted in state-of-the-art transporting vehicles to the actual site for installation.

Harpal Singh added, “The ultra fast mechanism helps save energy in quantums in comparison to traditional construction methods. One can get revenues from the investment within days. Though the cost is almost the same as incurred using conventional techniques, there is a lot of gain in saving man-days of work in terms of manpower days and overcoming inflationary increases”.

He maintained that this technology has a vast potential to revolutionise the infrastructure technology in the country by rapidly speeding up the construction of commercial towers, luxury hotels, high-rise buildings, hospitals and educational institutions.
