SHIMLA: Subedar Vijay Kumar was felicitated with the Rising Star Award by the Army’s Himachal Pradesh-based Rising Star Corps on Sunday for winning a silver medal in the London Olympics. Colonel R K Sharma, Corps Commander presented a cheque of Rs 25,000 to Kumar’s father Banku Ram.
Dhumal lays stone for projects worth Rs 8.6 cr
SHIMLA: Chief Minister Prem Kumar Dhumal on Sunday laid the foundation stone of projects worth Rs 8.65 crore in Chamba. Projects include 30-m bridge over Rathiar Nallah and a water supply scheme in Sungal.
