With the weather turning nippy, it’s no surprise that restaurants are making changes to their menu as well. A regular with food festivals, Pride KC Hotel and Spa in Sector 3, Panchkula, has now rolled out a Lahori food festival at Chingaree, their Indian specialty restaurant. The menu has been put together by Executive Chef Shailendra Singh and award-winning chef, Hemanti, who specialises in Mughlai fare. While a live ghazal performance during the course of the festival is the highlight, the menu also offers a varied selection. We recommend starting with the array of kebabs prepared in seven styles — including tandoor, grilled and steamed versions. The menu also brings in biryanis. The Lahori special selections are a mix of robust curries and meats. Lahore ke Tunde, Balti Chicken, Lahori Kukkad, Keema Lahori and Yakhni pulao are some of the dishes on offer. The Bharwan Aloo Lahori for vegetarians is a good pick. The only deterrence to the Chandigarh diner is the distance but the effort is worth it. The festival is on till November 24.
