Apparently, the group’s facility in Egypt, Alexandria Carbon Black Company SAE, is the only producer of carbon black in West Asia and North Africa region. The new facility in Oman will add to it.

The proposed 2 lakh tonne capacity in Mexico will be set up through a joint venture between two of Birla’s overseas companies – Thai Carbon and Alexandria Carbon Black It will cater to demand in North and South America. Currently, the group’s Alexandria Carbon Black in Egypt services the American and East European markets....
