One of Bollywood's most awaited films and this year's big Diwali release, Hrithik Roshan’s superhero franchise film 'Krrish 3' hits theatres today. The film, which is made on a hefty budget is touted to be one of the highest grossers of the year, however will it be able to beat Shah Rukh Khan's Rs 200+ 'Chennai Express' only time will tell.
The October drought for quality Bollywood films still persists and with 'Krrish 3' being the first big release of November, the audience is looking for a good cinema experience. 'Krrish 3' also has the festive season to its advantage.
The third in Rakesh Roshan’s superhero franchise also stars Priyanka Chopra in a pivotal role.
The film has Vivek Oberoi as the anti-hero ‘Kaal’, who is out on a revenge motive. With Kaal's aides like Kaaya, a lethal mutant essayed by Kangana Ranaut, superhero Krrish is about to have a rough time bringing out order from chaos.

Hrithik Roshan had revealed that he was interested in playing the role of Kaal and thought that no other actor could have done justice to that character. His father on the other hand said that Vivek Oberoi was the first and only choice for Kaal’s role.
"I always thought he is a good actor. When I was writing the script I had him in mind. But I wasn't sure whether he will do a villain’s role or not. I asked him to read the script and give me his opinion. After two hours he came to me and said you want me to play Kaal? I said yes and he said he will do it. What Vivek has done in the film I can't see any other actor doing," he said.
With respect to Kangna Ranaut, Rakesh Roshan revealed that Kangana was a bit scared to do the film because Priyanka Chopra was also part of the ambitious project. "She thought her role might get chopped in the end so she didn't want to do it," he said.
Meanwhile, 'Krrish 3' promos so far remind us of the famous Hollywood films 'X Men'. But director Rakesh Roshan insists he has not taken any references from Hollywood movie.
