BD Castings to set up steel plant in Birbhum

Kolkata, Jun 17: Integrated steel and TMT bar manufacturer BD Castings Pvt Ltd, a Goyal group company, has come up with two new value added products for its Timcon brand, TMT Bar Fe-500 and Timcon structural steel.

The first one is used in construction, while the latter has use in the engineering and fabrication industries.

Ramesh Chand Goyal, chairman of the Rs 1100-crore company, said the basic raw material of both the products are produced in the integrated steel manufacturing units of the company.

Regarding new ventures, Goyal said a new integrated steel plant with a capacity of more than 3 lakh tonne per annum would come up in Birbhum.

The group has a strong customer base across India, particularly in West Bengal and Assam.
