New Delhi: : In the backdrop of the worldwide debate on harmful effects of radiation from mobile phones and other electronic devices, Bauer Biotech, a German company, has launched its anti-radiation product range, Green 8, in India.
The company has launched a range of products which it claims can be used in cellphones, in the kitchen and even in buildings for protection against radiation emitted by electronic gadgets.
However, the company doesn’t have certification from any scientific or health institution to back its claims. Admitting this, Bauer Biotech chairman Friedrich Bauer, said, “Mobile phones create imbalances in the energy fields in the body. Green 8 products neutralises the negative effects of radiation.”
Mr Bauer said his firm had spoken to mobile phone manufacturers like Motorola and Nokia. Though these manufacturers were aware of the dangers caused due to radiation, they would not admit it since it was a “political issue” for them, he said.
The products, ranging from small strips to poster-size cards, are priced from Rs 750 (for cell-phones) to Rs 9,999 (for use in large buildings). The products will be made available in India through Bauer’s distributor Green8India.
