Bank managerís death: Rly cops to check suicide angle, seek call data records
Though the police have filed an accidental death report, they are now probing if he committed suicide.
While Narsadeís wife, Aruna, had told the police that the death was an accident, the police on Wednesday said his friends had claimed the bank management had told Narsade that he would not get his post-retirement benefits if the companies whose loans he cleared did not repay.
ďHis family and friends have said that Narsade had been tense in the past few weeks. He was worried that he would not get his pension as the bank had not recovered the loan amount from the companies whose loans he had cleared. His call records can throw some light on the case,Ē said an officer from the Vasai GRP.
Police said Narsade reported for work at 11 am on Wednesday. After about 10 minutes, he told his colleagues he was going to the bankís Churchgate head office and went to Mira Road railway station where he was hit by a train. He suffered severe head injuries. Narsadeís friend Laxman Singh Mehta, who was at the spot, informed his wife.
