Bangalore To Host Renewable Energy Expo In February

Chennai, December 17:: In order to bring all the Indian and international parties interested in renewable energy on a common platform and to showcase the latest technological advancements taking place globally, PDA Trade Fairs (a division of Pradeep Devaiah Associates Pvt Ltd), in association with Tata Energy Research Institute (TERI), is organising an exhibition and conference for the global renewable energy industry - India International Clean Energy Expo 2003, named as Clean 2003, in Bangalore from February 20 to 23.

The theme of the event, according to Mr Yogesh Srinivasan, managing director and chief operating officer of PDA Pvt Ltd, is `Harnessing the power of nature for a clean green future'.

A two-day conference on the theme `Towards the renewable target for the next decade' will also be held on February 21 and 22.

``The objectives of the conference is to provide a platform for showcasing contemporary clean energy technologies, products and services for world-wide buyers and sellers,'' Mr Srinivasan, who was in Chennai last weekend, said.

He said that there would also be a `business forum' on the theme of `Generating power through clean technologies'.

Official and business delegations from neighbouring countries like Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Nepal will be visiting the expo and participating in the conference. Delegations are expected from some African countries also, he added.
