Mumbai: Drug maker Aurobindo Pharma said its Australia-based subsidiary has received the approval from the Australian drug regulator for registration of anti-hypertension tablets.
"Aurobindo Pharma Australia has received approval from Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) for the registration of Amlodipine Besylate tablets," the Hyderabad-based drug maker said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange.
Amlodipine bseylate tablets are used for the treatment of hypertension and "can be used as the sole agent to control blood pressure in the majority of patients."
This is Aurobindo's fourth approval from TGA, Australia.
Shares of Aurobindo Pharma were trading at Rs 475, down 0.39 per cent in the afternoon trade on the BSE.
