The tablet is expected to become the next big device for gaming. It has always been a gaming device, but has lacked the power needed for top end games that makes consoles popular these days.

But there are signs that all this is going to change. Xolo, the premium devices brand from phone manufacturer Lava, has announced the launch of the Xolo Play Tegra Note, a seven-inch tablet powered by the all-new NVIDIA Tegra 4 for a very affordable Rs 17,999.

As the name suggests, this tablet will be aimed at the gaming crowd and will benefit from the quad-core processor with a 72-core GeForce GPU and quad-core CPU with a fifth battery-saver core. It will also feature the NVIDIA TegraZone for easy access to Tegra-optimized games with enhanced visuals and exclusive features. Then there is support for a variety of Bluetooth game controllers. What more could a gamer ask for?

For other tasks, the Android Jelly Bean tablet has an industrial design and ships with unique chisel tip stylus featuring NVIDIA DirectStylus technology. The camera is powered by NVIDIA Chimera computational photography architecture to deliver stunning new features. Plus, the NVIDIA PureAudio offers rich, deep audio with the "widest frequency range" in tablets through front-facing stereo speakers with a bass-reflex port.
