ISB announces scholarships to increase student diversity
The Indian School of Business (ISB) announced ‘Diversity Scholarships’ totalling R2.5 crore for students of its incoming PGP Class. The Diversity Scholarships are a part of the school’s total scholarship outlay of about R8 crore, comprising of both merit-based and need-based scholarships, and will be awarded to talented professionals from a broad spectrum of sectors and functions.
Toyota signs MoU with Galgotias Business School, Greater Noida
Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) recently signed an MoU with Galgotias Business School on the event of the launch of Toyota Sales Education Foundation (TSEF), in Greater Noida. Conceptualised, developed and supported by TKM, TSEF is a programme focused at training students on automotive sales during their graduation years and later recruiting the trained students as ‘sales officers’ across Toyota dealerships.
Strathclyde spin-out company gets £1.4 million to harness tidal energy
An award-winning University of Strathclyde spin-out company has been awarded £1.4 million to help it harness tidal energy. Nautricity will use the grant towards the total cost of building and testing its CoRMaT tidal current turbine in the sea south of Machrihanish, Argyll, Scotland. The award was part of the £7.9 million WATERS 2 funding package announced by Deputy First Minister Nicola Sturgeon, aimed at helping Scottish firms to secure an increased share of the global marine energy market.
Welingkar Institute of Management signs MoU with MTNL
The Centre for Excellence in Telecom Technology and Management (CETTM), the telecom training centre of MTNL, and the Welingkar Institute of Management Development and Research have joined hands to train talent specifically for the telecom industry. The official announcement of the same was made recently when the two stalwarts signed an MoU at Welingkar’s Mumbai campus. The MoU pledges mutual cooperation on developing programmes to develop human resources specifically for telecom management. This is expected to boost the existing talent supply to the expanding telecom industry.
