After Asus launched convertible all-in-one computers last month, the company has unveiled Transformer TX 300, a 13.3-inch notebook with a removable display that serves as a tablet. The TX 300 runs Windows 8 in both tablet and laptop modes, but comes with an older third generation Intel Core i5 processor. The fourth generation processors offer tremendous battery life improvements, and should have been used in this hybrid device. For this model, Asus claims a battery life of five hours (laptop) and eight hours (tablet). When used as a tablet, the TX 300 will have 128 GB flash storage, and users can enjoy up to 500 GB storage when it is used as a notebook. The keyboard is backlit, which is good news for those who work in the dark. The device comes with a high-definition display that has a viewing angle of 178 degrees. This is good news for film lovers.
