Apollo 11 legend Buzz Aldrin took a small leap into The Ambassador Lagoon at Atlantis, The Palm in Dubai. Buzz was the second person to walk on the moon. He was the lunar module pilot on Apollo 11, the first manned lunar landing in history and set foot on the Moon on July 21, 1969, following mission commander Neil Armstrong. He is also a retired colonel in the United States Air Force (USAF) and a USAF command pilot / astronaut, and hero of many and these days loves spending time underwater.

The new diving programme gives a chance to guests to come face to face with sharks, rays and 65,000 fishes. The new diving activities include: Atlantis Dive Discovery for beginners; Atlantis Dive Explorer a 30-minute dive for certified divers; and the Royal Dive for those who want a VIP experience and the entire Ambassador Lagoon. For those who donít have a diving licence, Atlantis also has snorkelling for anyone over the age of six.
