Astrazeneca Q3 net profit loss at Rs 18 cr
It had posted net profit of Rs 14.93 crore for the corresponding period of the previous fiscal.
Net sales of the company also declined to Rs 104.91 crore for the third quarter, as against Rs 153.48 crore for the same period of 2011-12 fiscal, Astrazeneca Pharma said in a statement.
The company said its factory experienced a further interruption in production in January this year, which is under the process of remediation.
"As a result of these interruptions, revenues and the financial results for the current quarter and nine months period ended December 31, 2012 are lower compared to the prior year," it added.
For the nine months ended December 31, the company posted a net loss of Rs 70.95 crore. It had posted a net profit of Rs 52.76 crore during the same period of 2011-12 fiscal. Astrazeneca scrip closed at Rs 1,323.65 on the BSE, down 0.20 per cent from the previous close.
