Arshiya Rail Infrastructure (ARIL) is all set to move to the Competition Appellate Tribunal (Compat) against the order passed by the Competition Commission of India (CCI) in August 2012 where the latter dismissed the allegations of abuse of dominant position by Indian Railways that were levelled by Arshiya and Kribhco Infrastructure.

A source close to the development told The Indian

Express that the company will soon challenge the order in the Appellate Tribunal and added that the matter will only be settled in the Supreme Court as the losing party in the tribunal will move the court.

The two companies —Arshiya and Kribhco — are operating as a container train operator after receiving the licence following the railway minister’s announcement in February 2005 that it would permit private operators to run container trains on Indian Railways’ network.
